Michigan firm asserts superiority of ethanol engine
Michigan-based engine maker Ricardo says it has developed an ethanol-burning engine that gets better fuel efficiency than a traditional gas engine. Acceptance of the Ethanol Boost Direct Injection engine will depend on ethanol and gasoline prices, says Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst for Oil Price Information Service. "If you tell me my car could run on anything, I'll pump it full of Chanel No. 5 or Aqua Velva if it's the cheapest thing I can get," he says. USA TODAY (1/26) |
